Quando le vere vittime sono i bambini...

Pubblico la risposta della Professoressa Eve Spangler al mio intervento sull'articolo «The Deaths of Children»:
"Many thanks for your kind words. I agree with you entirely... it's not just the occupation of 1967, but the Nakba of 1948 that is at the root of the present conflict. How sad that we still must be in struggle about this. Eve"
Qui di seguito il mio iniziale commento:
"Distinguished Professor, I read your article («The Deaths of Children») and I have to commend for revealing the truth in the occupied Palestinian territories. Of course, the military occupation for over forthy years is the main obstacle to reach the peace, and as you said, this context supported and kept the gross breach of the human rights for the parties in conflict until now. But there is another fact on the ground to tackle by the entire International community: the expulsion of more 700.000 palestinians without return, without compensation, after only three years since the end of World War II in which ther european jews undergone the Nazis crimes, after the Nuremberg Trials estabilished the crimes of war and the crimes against humanity." Best regards. Nazzareno Tomassini"
In conclusione, riporto una parte della dichiarazione del funzonario ONU Jan Egeland di fronte alla tragedia della guerra Israele-Libano dell'estate 2006 (vedi il post del 30 luglio), parole crude che non necessitano di commento:
"If there are many more dead children in a conflict than armed men, there is something fundamentally wrong, not only with how the armed men behave and where they hide, but also with the way the response is being conducted"
